Redd Kross at the Lodge Room — the LA punk band that never stopped mattering
Redd Kross formed in Hawthorne, California in 1978. Jeff and Steve McDonald have been playing together as brothers in a band for nearly fifty years, which puts them in a category of their own. The band's catalog runs from hardcore punk through bubblegum pop through 90s alternative and back, and none of it sounds like anything but Redd Kross. They play the Lodge Room (104 N Ave 56, Highland Park) on Wednesday April 15 with Conan Neutron & the Secret Friends opening. Doors 7pm, show 8pm.
This is the kind of show that people who care about the history of Los Angeles music go to. Tickets at lodgeroomhlp.com.
