The best morning-to-night food crawl in Frogtown

April 2026

Park once, eat all day. Leave your car on Gilroy Street near the brewery end of the neighborhood and just walk. Frogtown is small enough that the whole crawl is basically one long river-adjacent loop, and that's exactly the point.

8:30am, Constellation Coffee · 2479 N Glendale Blvd
Start here. Grab a seat on the patio before it fills up. Order the cortado and whatever pastry they have sitting on the counter, it changes, it's always good, don't overthink it. The morning light through the trees hits perfectly. This is your baseline vibe for the whole day.

9:15am, Frogtown Farmers Market · 1433 Glendale Blvd
Walk south on Glendale. The market runs Saturday mornings and it's genuinely local, small farms, real bread, people who know each other's names. Pick up something for your pocket: a peach, a sourdough roll, a jam you've never heard of. You'll eat it at the river in about twenty minutes.

9:45am, Marsh Park · 2490 Fletcher Dr
Cut over to Fletcher and drop down into Marsh Park. Eat whatever you grabbed at the market on the bench by the water. Watch the egrets. The paved path heading north toward Atwater is right here if you want to stretch your legs before the eating really starts. Even a ten-minute walk and back will make you feel like you earned brunch.

11:00am, Just What I Kneaded · 2029 Blake Ave
This is your brunch stop and it deserves your full attention. Get the patio table if one's open. Order the eggs, order something with their bread, order a juice. It's the kind of place that feels like it should have a longer line than it does, which means go now, while it's still a secret-ish. Groups do well here.

12:30pm, Elysian Valley Arts Collective · 1845 Blake Ave
You're already on Blake, so walk up a few blocks and poke your head in. Local artists, rotating shows, the occasional pop-up dinner if you check their calendar ahead of time. Even a 20-minute walk-through recalibrates you between meals. Pick up a print if something grabs you.

1:15pm, La Colombe · 2828 Newell St
An afternoon coffee pause. La Colombe's Frogtown outpost has a patio and a relaxed enough energy that lingering is encouraged. Get the draft latte. Sit outside. Text someone that they should have come today.

2:00pm, Cafecito Organico Roasting Co. · 2902 Gilroy St
Yes, two afternoon coffees. You're on a crawl. Cafecito Organico is a different register entirely, roasty, neighborhood-feel, patio that catches the afternoon shade. This is also right near Frogtown Brewery, so you're staging yourself perfectly for the next move.

2:45pm, Frogtown Brewery · 2931 Gilroy St
Walk next door, essentially. Frogtown Brewery is where the afternoon opens up. Order a craft IPA, check what's rotating on the seasonal tap, find a spot in the sun. This is a linger spot. Don't rush it. If you came with friends, this is where everyone finally sits down at the same time.

5:00pm, The Frog Spot · LA River Bike Path
Make your way back toward the river. The Frog Spot is right on the bike path and it has an outdoor, end-of-afternoon energy that nothing else in the neighborhood matches. Another beer, the river moving behind you, golden hour starting to happen. This is the transitional drink between afternoon and evening.

6:30pm, Thai Taste Restaurant · 2328 Fletcher Dr
Dinner. Thai Taste is the real thing, make a reservation if you're coming with more than two people. Order the pad see ew, order whatever curry is on the board, order more than you think you need. The room is casual and the food punches above it. This is a neighborhood staple for a reason.

8:30pm, Zebulon Café Concert · 2476 Fletcher Dr
End here. Zebulon is one of the best small music venues in all of LA, intimate, eclectic, and usually hosting something worth staying up for. Check their calendar before you come so you know what you're walking into. Get a drink at the bar, find a spot near the stage, and let the night finish itself. You've been in Frogtown all day and it still managed to surprise you. That's the whole thing.
