A perfect night out in Frogtown

April 2026

Park once, walk everywhere. Leave your car on Gilroy Street near the brewery, there's almost always street parking after 5pm, and let Frogtown do the rest.

6:00pm, Drinks at Frogtown Brewery
Start at Frogtown Brewery (2931 Gilroy St). Grab a stool at the bar and ask what's rotating on tap, they brew everything on-site so whatever's fresh is what you want. The IPAs are the move. It's low-key, a little industrial, exactly the vibe. One round here, maybe two.

7:00pm, Dinner at Lingua Franca or Thai Taste
Walk two minutes up Allesandro to Lingua Franca (2990 Allesandro St) if you want something considered and wine-forward. If you're in a bigger group or just want something reliably great, head instead to Thai Taste (2328 Fletcher Dr), call ahead for a table, order the curry, don't skip the noodles. Either way, you're eating well.

8:30pm, Swing by Elysian Valley Arts Collective
Walk over to 1845 Blake Ave and check if anything's happening at the Elysian Valley Arts Collective. They do local artist showcases and occasional pop-up dinners and the energy in that space always feels like you wandered into something you weren't supposed to find. Even if it's just an open gallery night, worth the detour.

9:30pm, Nightcap at Zebulon or Prada Silver Frog
This is where the night goes one of two ways. If there's a show at Zebulon (2476 Fletcher Dr), go. Seriously, just go. It's one of the best small music venues in the city and the programming is always interesting. Check their calendar before you head out.

If you want something slower and outside, walk to Prada Silver Frog (Fletcher and Clearwater). The patio is the whole point. Order whatever's cold, find a spot, and stay longer than you planned.

Before you leave
If the night is clear, take five minutes and walk toward Marsh Park (2490 Fletcher Dr) to get a look at the river. It's quiet at night and it puts the whole neighborhood in perspective, this little pocket of LA tucked right along the water, doing its own thing. That's Frogtown.
