best brunch spots in west hollywood

April 2026

West Hollywood does brunch like it does everything else, with a little attitude, a strong drink, and no apologies for the wait. Whether you want a patio table on a Sunday with nowhere to be, or a proper seafood spread with a Bloody Mary, WeHo has a version of that for you. Here's where we actually go.

Connie and Ted's · 8171 Santa Monica Blvd

This is the one. A 4.5-star New England-style seafood spot that somehow landed perfectly on Santa Monica Blvd and never looked back. Brunch here means chowder, oysters, and eggs done right, the kind of meal that makes you forget you're in a landlocked city. The patio is ideal on a clear morning. Make a reservation. Seriously.

Mauro's Cafe · 7469 Melrose Ave

Tucked inside the Fred Segal complex, Mauro's is quiet, pretty, and a little European in the best way. The patio is shaded and the cocktails are lighter than you'd expect, think spritz territory. Great for a smaller group or a solo brunch with a book. Order the eggs, get a glass of something cold, and stay longer than you planned.

Joey's Cafe · 8301 Santa Monica Blvd

Joey's is a neighborhood staple that doesn't try too hard. It's a 4.5-star casual cafe with a patio, dependable brunch food, and the kind of coffee that keeps you coming back. Eggs Benedict, avocado toast, good pancakes. The vibe is unpretentious and the prices are reasonable for the area. Go before noon on weekends to avoid the line.

Pura Vita Pizzeria · 8274 Santa Monica Blvd

Plant-based, wine-forward, and genuinely fun. Pura Vita earns its 4.7 stars with a brunch menu that doesn't feel like a compromise. The cocktails are thoughtful and the space has a warm, low-lit energy even during the day. Good for groups who can't all agree on a place, someone always ends up happy here.

The Griddle Cafe · 7916 W Sunset Blvd

If you want pancakes the size of a small country, this is your spot. The Griddle on Sunset is loud, fun, and unapologetically over the top. Portions are enormous. The red velvet pancakes are famous for a reason. Expect a wait on weekends, grab a spot outside and enjoy the Sunset Strip people-watching while you queue.

Gracias Madre · 8905 Melrose Ave

Plant-based Mexican with a patio that glows on weekend mornings. Gracias Madre is a 4.6-star spot that takes its cocktails as seriously as its food, the mezcal program is one of the best in the neighborhood. Order the chilaquiles, get a margarita, and take your time. The vibe is lush and the service is warm.

Urth Caffe · 8565 Melrose Ave

The WeHo Urth Caffe at 8565 Melrose is a classic for a reason. Organic coffee, a green tea latte worth the hype, and a full brunch menu that covers everything from acai bowls to eggs. The patio fills up fast, get there before 10am on weekends if you want a table without a wait. It's a 4.4-star crowd favorite for a reason.

A few tips before you go

Parking in WeHo on weekends is a sport. Most of these spots have street parking nearby but plan for a 5–10 minute walk. The side streets off Santa Monica Blvd and Melrose often have free spots if you're patient. Several of these spots take reservations, use them. And if you're heading to Connie and Ted's or Gracias Madre, booking ahead isn't optional, it's survival.

WeHo brunch isn't a trend. It's a Sunday religion. These spots are the congregation.
