He also does the platanos fritos, fried plantains, which are worth ordering alongside the churros if only for the textural contrast. He does catering too, engagement parties, birthdays, and people who've hired him say he shows up on time and the churros are exactly as good as the ones from the cart.
Churros El Morita is not just a Glassell Park operation. It is a multi-location mobile business, same cart, same phone number, different parking lots on different days. Gardena. La Puente (outside the Northgate Market). Pomona. But the Glassell Park spot, next to Angel's Tijuana Tacos, is the one that matters for our purposes, because it means you can get the best street tacos and the best churros in northeast LA within a forty-yard walk of each other. That is a Tuesday night plan. That is a perfect Tuesday night plan.
