Every happy hour worth knowing in Eagle Rock

April 2026

Eagle Rock has quietly built one of the better after-work drinking scenes on the Eastside, a real mix of dive bars, craft breweries, a wine bar, and old-school Italian joints, most of them within a few blocks of each other on Colorado Blvd. Here's every spot worth knowing when you're ready to knock off early.

Colorado Bar · 2640 Colorado Blvd · This is the anchor. A genuine, no-apologies dive bar with cheap well drinks, a pool table, and the kind of regulars who've been coming since before Eagle Rock was on anyone's radar. Happy hour runs weekdays and the prices stay honest all night, but the early hours are when the light comes through the windows just right and the place feels like yours. Go for: well drinks, cold beer, zero pretense.

Western Bottle Shop and Bar / Western Station Beer & Wine · 2305 Colorado Blvd · These two operate out of the same address and together function as Eagle Rock's neighborhood bottle shop with serious bar energy. The selection leans natural wine and craft beer, and the staff actually knows what they're talking about. It's a low-key place to grab a glass while you browse, or just pull up and stay a while. Perfect for the wine-curious crowd who wants something good without a big night out.

Eagle Rock Brewery · 3056 Roswell St · The OG craft brewery of the neighborhood, and one of the first in LA to really make the taproom a destination. Happy hour typically runs weekday afternoons, check their site or Instagram for current times, as they rotate. The move is a beer flight so you can work through whatever's on tap. The space is relaxed and dog-friendly on the patio. Go for: flights, seasonal IPAs, and the laid-back taproom hang.

Relentless Brewing · 2133 Colorado Blvd · Don't let the name fool you, the vibe here is actually quite relaxed. Relentless does cocktails and wine alongside their own brews, and happy hour deals typically cover both. It's a step up from dive bar, with a room that works for dates or a small group. They take reservations, which tells you something. Go for: cocktails, a glass of something interesting, weekday wind-downs.

Capri Club · 4604 Eagle Rock Blvd · One of the more polished spots on Eagle Rock Blvd, Capri Club leans hard into Italian-American classics and a serious Negroni menu. The bar is compact and handsome, the lighting is low, and the drinks are made with care. Happy hour specials tend to focus on aperitivo-style drinks, think spritzes and bittersweet cocktails alongside small bites. Go for: any of the Negroni variations, the atmosphere, a proper pre-dinner drink.

Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club · Colorado Blvd · Colombo's is old Eagle Rock in the best possible way, a steakhouse and jazz club that's been here long enough to earn its own mythology. Happy hour at the bar is the move: classic cocktails, a room full of character, and live jazz on weekends. It's not trying to be trendy, which is exactly what makes it feel special. Go for: martinis, old-fashioneds, and the live music schedule.

Spitz · Colorado Blvd · Spitz is best known for its döner wraps and street food, but the bar program is real and the happy hour deals are genuinely good, usually discounted beers and well cocktails during weekday afternoon hours. It's casual and loud in a fun way, with long communal tables that make it easy for groups. Go for: a cold beer with your wrap, or just drinks at the bar when you want something cheap and fast.

Center for the Arts Eagle Rock · 2225 Colorado Blvd · Not a bar in the traditional sense, but the Center for the Arts regularly hosts events with beer and wine, and show nights double as some of the better low-key drinking evenings in the neighborhood. Check their calendar, a $15 ticket to a local band often comes with a pretty good bar scene attached. Go for: show nights, local acts, a drink before you walk down Colorado.

A few notes on the neighborhood: Most of Eagle Rock's happy hours cluster on weekdays between 4–7pm, though hours shift seasonally, it's always worth a quick check on Instagram before you head out. Parking on Colorado Blvd fills up fast after 6pm, so walk if you can or build in time. And if you're making a night of it, the stretch between Western Bottle Shop and the Colorado Bar is as good a bar crawl as you'll find on the Eastside, walkable, unpretentious, and genuinely local.
