Best Bars in Eagle Rock

April 2026

Eagle Rock has quietly become one of the best neighborhoods in LA for a proper night out, or a slow afternoon drink. The bars here aren't trying too hard. They've got personality, good prices, and the kind of regulars who actually live nearby. Here's where to go.

Colorado Bar · 2640 Colorado Blvd
This is the dive bar Eagle Rock deserves. Rated 4.9 stars, and honestly you understand why the second you walk in. Dark, unpretentious, well-priced well drinks. No craft cocktail menu with seven ingredients. No reservations. Just a good bar doing exactly what a good bar should do. Go on a weeknight when it's a little quieter, grab a stool, and stay longer than you planned. Street parking along Colorado is usually fine after 7pm.

Western Bottle Shop and Bar · 2305 Colorado Blvd
Also rated 4.9 stars, which tells you something about this block. Western is a bottle shop first, but the bar side is absolutely the move. Knowledgeable staff, a rotating selection that leans interesting without being snobbish, and the kind of room where you can actually have a conversation. Pick up a bottle to take home on your way out. It's nearly impossible not to.

Capri Club · 4604 Eagle Rock Blvd
If the other two are your casual neighborhood spots, Capri Club is where you go when you want to feel like you're somewhere. Italian-American classics on the food menu, but the real reason to come is the Negroni menu. They take it seriously, multiple riffs, all executed well. The room is warm and candlelit without being precious about it. Make a reservation on weekends. Parking on Eagle Rock Blvd can get tight; the side streets off Argus are your best bet.

Eagle Rock Brewery · 3056 Roswell St
Eagle Rock Brewery was doing craft beer in this neighborhood before craft beer was everywhere. The taproom on Roswell Street has a relaxed, warehouse-meets-backyard feel. Get a flight if it's your first visit, it's the best way to find your footing. The beers are brewed on-site, and the staff can actually tell you about them. Bonus: there's usually food nearby or a food truck situation. Parking is easy here compared to Colorado Blvd.

Relentless Brewing · 2133 Colorado Blvd
Don't let the wine bar label throw you, Relentless does cocktails and has a genuinely fun brunch program too. The vibe is relaxed and bright, the kind of place that works for a solo drink at the bar or a small group catching up. They take reservations, which is worth doing on weekend evenings. Rated 4.5 stars with a loyal following.

Permanent Records · 1906 Cypress Ave
Okay, technically a record store. But Permanent Records has cold beer on tap and a 4.7-star rating, and flipping through curated vinyl while drinking a beer is one of the better ways to spend a Saturday afternoon in this city. It's a vibe that doesn't exist in many places anymore. Cash-friendly, unpretentious, and the selection is genuinely good.

A few honest tips: Colorado Blvd is the spine of Eagle Rock's bar scene, so you can walk between several of these spots on a good night. The neighborhood fills up on Friday and Saturday after 8pm, if you want a quieter version of any of these places, Thursday is your night. And Eagle Rock generally still feels like a neighborhood rather than a destination, which is exactly why it's worth the trip.
