Best Restaurants in Eagle Rock
Eagle Rock has quietly become one of the best eating neighborhoods in LA. Colorado Boulevard alone could keep you busy for weeks, tacos, Italian delis, craft beer, cheesy bakeries, a proper dive bar, and coffee shops that don't feel like tech offices. Here's where to actually eat.
Freddy's Taco Truck · 1871 Colorado Blvd · 4.8★
Start here. Freddy's is the kind of taco truck that regulars treat like a secret even though it's right on Colorado. The al pastor is the move. Cash helps. Parking on the street in front is usually fine during off-peak hours. Come hungry and don't overthink it.
La Sorted's · 1827 Colorado Blvd · 4.6★
An Italian deli and market that feels like it could exist in a different decade and a different city, in the best way. The sandwiches are generous and thoughtfully built. Grab one to go and eat it at the small tables out front, or take it to the park. It's a lunch spot, so go before 1pm if you want a seat.
Cacao Mexicatessen · 1576 Colorado Blvd · 4.5★
Cacao sits at the west end of the Colorado strip and it's worth the walk. Mexican deli-style cooking with housemade sauces and real ingredient sourcing. The tortas and tlayudas are reliable anchors on the menu. The space is small and cheerful. Midday on a weekday is the sweet spot.
The Oinkster · 2005 Colorado Blvd · 4.4★
A neighborhood anchor. Belgian fries, pastrami, pulled pork, the Oinkster does slow-cooked comfort food in a casual counter-service setup with a patio out back that's great for groups. It handles a crowd well, which makes it a solid call for a casual team lunch or a post-park meal. Street parking or the lot behind the building.
Capri Club · 4604 Eagle Rock Blvd · 4.6★
Capri Club leans Italian-American classics done with care, think red sauce, good pasta, and a Negroni menu that's taken seriously. The room is warm and dim in the right way. It's the spot when you want a proper sit-down dinner without driving to Silverlake. Make a reservation on weekends. Street parking on Eagle Rock Blvd or the side streets.
Cindy's · 3519 Ramona Blvd · 4.5★
Technically just at the edge of the neighborhood, but Eagle Rock claims it and you should too. Cindy's is a diner doing breakfast and brunch with genuine personality. The al pastor hash is the dish to order, it shows up and it delivers. Eggs any style, solid coffee, booths that fit a group. Weekend mornings have a wait; arrive before 9:30am or after 11:30am to skip the worst of it.
Milkfarm · 2106 Colorado Blvd · 4.8★
Cheese shop and cafe that keeps regulars extremely loyal. Curated cheeses, excellent sandwiches, charcuterie to eat in or take home. It's small and can get packed on weekends, go on a weekday afternoon if you want to browse without pressure. The staff actually knows what they're selling, which still surprises people.
Lola Cafe · 2040 Colorado Blvd · 4.8★
The patio at Lola is one of the best outdoor brunch situations in the neighborhood. Cafe-style all-day food, solid coffee, and a relaxed pace that doesn't rush you out. Good for groups. Works for a slow Saturday morning or a catch-up lunch. The covered patio handles both sun and light rain.
Ruby Bakery · 5042 Eagle Rock Blvd · 4.7★
Ruby sits on the Eagle Rock Blvd corridor and it earns every bit of its reputation. Pastries that are worth getting there early for, the laminated doughs in particular go fast. Small counter, neighborhood feel, no fuss. Pair something from the case with their coffee and you've got a great morning.
Eagle Rock Brewery · 3056 Roswell St · 4.5★
One of the original LA craft breweries, still going strong on Roswell. The taproom is laid-back and genuinely welcoming, no velvet rope energy here. Do the beer flight to orient yourself, then settle into a pint of whatever the bartender recommends. Parking in the lot is easy. Dogs welcome on the patio.
A few more worth knowing: Relentless Brewing at 2133 Colorado does brunch and cocktails in addition to wine and beer, good for a group with mixed drink preferences. The Colorado Bar at 2640 Colorado is a genuine dive, cheap well drinks, cash-friendly, no pretense. Western Bottle Shop and Bar at 2305 Colorado is the neighborhood's best wine and beer retail stop with a bar attached, pick up a bottle or stay for a glass.
