The best morning-to-night food crawl in Silver Lake

April 2026

Park once. Eat everywhere. Here's how a perfect Silver Lake day actually goes.

8:30am, Park on Griffith Park Blvd near Hyperion. This is your anchor. Street parking is easy this early and you're a short walk from everything.

9am · Mush · 1617 Silver Lake Blvd
Start with açaí at this tiny, beloved spot. The bowls are dense and cold and feel genuinely good for you. Get there early, it fills up fast and there's barely any seating. Eat standing if you have to. Worth it.

10am · Millie's Café · 3524 W Sunset Blvd
You're not fully ready for the day until you've sat on Millie's patio with eggs benedict and coffee. This place has been here forever and it shows in the best way. Put your name in, walk around the block, come back. Order the classic benny. Grab a table outside if the weather's doing anything.

11:30am · Dayglow · 3206 W Sunset Blvd
A five-minute walk west on Sunset. Get a single-origin espresso drink and slow down a little. The space is cool and bright and good for people-watching through the window. This is your breather between morning and afternoon.

12:30pm · FrankieLucy Bakeshop · 3116 W Sunset Blvd
Still on Sunset, just a few doors down. Grab something from the pastry case, a cookie, a bar, whatever looks best that day. Think of it as dessert for breakfast or a bridge to lunch. Either works.

1pm · Pine and Crane · 1521 Griffith Park Blvd
Walk back toward your car for lunch. Pine and Crane is fast-casual Taiwanese done right. Order the dan dan noodles and a scallion pancake. Sit in, eat slow. The line moves quickly even when it looks long.

2:30pm · Cheese Store of Silver Lake · 3926 Sunset Blvd
Drive or walk east on Sunset. This is your afternoon detour. Tell them what you like and they'll build you something. Pick up a small cheese board situation or just grab a wedge of something interesting for later. The staff actually knows everything about what's in the case.

3pm · Vacation Vinyl · 3815 Sunset Blvd
Right down the block. Flip through records for as long as you want, this is the unscheduled part of the day. New and used, great indie and alternative selection. Easy to lose 45 minutes here.

4pm · Café Tropical · 2900 W Sunset Blvd
Head back west toward the heart of the neighborhood. Café Tropical is a Silver Lake institution, Cuban sandwich and a café con leche on the patio while the afternoon gets golden. The Cubano is the move. Simple, correct, exactly what you want right now.

5:30pm · Ceviche Project · 2524 Hyperion Ave
The spot opens early enough to catch happy hour energy. Get the classic Peruvian ceviche and, yes, the michelada made with fresh shrimp stock. It sounds like a lot but it tastes like the ocean and lime and you'll want two. Sit at the bar if you can.

7pm · Azizam · 2943 Sunset Blvd
Persian-inspired, seasonal, and genuinely exciting. This is dinner. The menu changes but whatever they're running on the tasting menu is usually the right call. The room is small and warm and the food is the kind that makes you talk about it after.

9pm · The Semi Tropic · 2122 Sunset Blvd
End the night here. Craft cocktails, local beers, and a vibe that's relaxed without being sleepy. Grab a stool, order something with mezcal, and recap the whole day. You covered a lot of ground. You earned this drink.

The whole crawl runs roughly Sunset Blvd end to end with a couple of side streets. It's all doable on foot once you're parked, or you can drive between the bigger gaps. Either way, this is Silver Lake at its best, from the first bowl to the last sip.
