Best Brunch Spots in Silver Lake

April 2026

Silver Lake does brunch the way it does most things, unhurried, a little eclectic, and better than you expected. Whether you want a patio seat with a michelada or a quiet corner with single-origin espresso and scallion pancakes, this neighborhood delivers. Here's where to actually go.

Millie's Café · 3524 W Sunset Blvd
This one's been around long enough to earn its reputation. Millie's is a Silver Lake institution, the kind of place where regulars have a usual and newcomers immediately understand why. The Eggs Benedict are the move. Grab a patio seat if you can, and know that weekends get busy by 10am. They take reservations, which, yes, use them. 4.6★

Bacari · 3626 W Sunset Blvd
Bacari leans more wine bar than brunch spot, but that's exactly why it works on a Saturday morning. The patio is genuinely lovely, the cocktail program is sharp, and the vibe is relaxed without feeling sleepy. Good for groups. They do live music too, so check their schedule if you want a little something extra with your eggs. 4.5★

Café Tropical · 2900 W Sunset Blvd
Cash-only, Cuban, and completely no-fuss. The café con leche alone is worth the trip to this corner of Sunset. The Cubano is the other thing you need. Come early, grab a patio seat, and don't expect anything fancy, just really good, honest food at prices that feel like a gift. A true Silver Lake original. 4.5★

Azizam · 2943 Sunset Blvd
Persian-inspired and quietly one of the most interesting kitchens in the neighborhood. Azizam's seasonal approach means the menu shifts, but the flavors are consistently warm and layered in a way that stands out. It's affordable too, rare for a place this thoughtful. If you're tired of the standard brunch rotation, this is the reset you need. 4.7★ $

Pine and Crane · 1521 Griffith Park Blvd
Taiwanese comfort food with a brunch angle that works better than it has any right to. The dan dan noodles and scallion pancakes aren't traditional brunch fare, but once you've had them at 11am on a Sunday you won't go back. The line moves, the space is bright, and it's close to the reservoir if you want to walk it off after. 4.6★ $$

Ceviche Project · 2524 Hyperion Ave
This spot is doing something genuinely special. The micheladas are made with fresh shrimp stock, not a gimmick, just a very good decision, and the classic Peruvian-style ceviche is the kind of thing you think about the next day. It's a tasting-menu-style experience, so give yourself time and don't rush it. 4.7★

Wood · 2861 W Sunset Blvd
The patio at Wood is one of the better places to sit in Silver Lake on a weekend morning. The food is solid and the setting does a lot of the heavy lifting, in the best way. Go when the weather is good (so, most of the time) and post up. Parking on this stretch of Sunset can be tight; side streets off Griffith Park Blvd are usually your best bet. 4.7★

Playita Mariscos · 3143 W Sunset Blvd
If your idea of brunch involves a cold cocktail and something from the sea, Playita is the answer. The patio is casual and lively, the crowd is neighborhood-local, and the prices are genuinely reasonable. Great for groups who can't agree on what they want, the menu has range. 4.5★ $

For Coffee Before (or Instead of) All of It
Start at Dayglow (3206 W Sunset Blvd) for single-origin espresso that's taken seriously without being precious about it. Or head to Muddy Paw Coffee Company (Sunset Blvd), which has a patio and occasionally hosts live music, a strong opening move for a slow Sunday. Both earn their 4.6★ ratings the honest way.

A Few Practical Notes
Street parking on Sunset gets competitive after 10am on weekends. Side streets in the neighborhoods just north or south of Sunset are almost always easier. Reservations are worth making at Millie's and Bacari. Most of these spots are walkable from each other if you want to make a morning of it, coffee at Dayglow, brunch at Azizam, a slow walk past the reservoir, done.

Silver Lake brunch isn't a trend. It's just what Sundays look like here.
