What's blowing up in LA right now: July 2026

July 2026

Every month a handful of spots get the treatment: one video does a few million views and suddenly the line wraps the block. Some of them deserve it. This is the July board, checked in person where we could and checked hard everywhere else, so you know what you're actually walking into.

Kingbop · 2190 W Washington Blvd is the big one, with sushi taco videos closing in on nine million plays. It's a Korean counter spot on Washington Blvd where the tacos are the headline but the kimbop and tteokbokki are why the neighborhood was already going. Expect a line at lunch.

Miya Miya · 12101 W Olympic Blvd is a Jordanian shawarma stand on the Westside that only operates Fridays and Saturdays, which the videos mostly forget to mention. Plan the trip around that or you'll be standing in a parking lot on a Tuesday. The shawarma earns the planning.

Don Chilaquiles · 601 S Vermont Ave is a Koreatown outdoor stand doing oversized chilaquiles and the chilaquiles burrito your feed has been yelling about. Mornings only, 8am to 3pm, closed Sunday and Monday. Go before the office crowd figures out it's a ten minute drive.

Le Coupe · 709 N Western Ave holds the corner of Melrose and Western with a Southern fried chicken sandwich that people keep calling the best in the city, two million views and counting. Wednesday through Sunday, noon to 8. The salads are quietly excellent, which nobody making videos will tell you.

Donna's · 1538 Sunset Blvd in Echo Park is the reservation everyone's fighting over: a classic red sauce room that looks like 1962 and cooks like it means it. Reservations drop 28 days out at 10am, but they hold part of the room for walk-ins from 5:30, which is the move.

Salazar · 2490 Fletcher Dr is having a fresh moment and it's one of ours: the Frogtown patio by the river has been in our guide since before the videos found it. Sonoran grill, mesquite smoke, golden hour. The internet is late; the neighborhood knew.

Laurel Supply in West Hollywood is the grocery store your feed is fighting about: a luxury market from the Laurel Hardware team that opened near Erewhon and kicked off a full rival-or-dupe war, a million plays and climbing. Their own Instagram is private with zero followers, which tells you they know exactly what the internet is doing for them. Go for the people-watching; the $16 smoothie is optional.

Faregrounds · 459 N Roxbury Dr in Beverly Hills is the chicken caesar wrap one. Yes it's spelled Faregrounds, no matter what the captions say. Weekdays from 7am, Saturdays from 8, closed Sundays, and the wrap sells out.

The pattern in all of this: the good ones were good before the phone found them. That's the whole reason this guide exists. We'll do this again next month.
