Best Restaurants in Larchmont Village

April 2026

Larchmont Boulevard is one of those rare LA streets that still feels like a neighborhood. People actually walk here. Dogs come along. Kids get ice cream on weeknights. And the restaurants, tucked into a few compact blocks between Melrose and Beverly, have a genuinely local quality that's hard to fake and easy to love.

Here's where to eat, what to order, and what to expect when you show up.

Girasole · 225 N Larchmont Blvd

This is the kind of Italian place you want to live near. Girasole has been feeding Hancock Park families and Larchmont regulars for years, and it earns every bit of the loyalty. The patio is shaded and unhurried. Brunch on weekends draws a crowd, but weeknight dinners are quieter and just as good. Order the pasta. Come with a group. Make a reservation, you'll want one on weekends.

Louise's Trattoria · 232 N Larchmont Blvd

Right across the boulevard from Girasole, Louise's has its own devoted following. The vibe is a little more casual, the portions generous, the patio reliably busy on warm evenings. It's a solid spot for a weeknight dinner when you don't want to cook but also don't want to drive anywhere. Cocktails are worth having. Brunch on Sundays gets lively.

Pho La Vache · 125 N Larchmont Blvd

This little pho spot near the south end of the boulevard punches well above its square footage. The broth is the real thing, deep, long-cooked, aromatic. Come hungry. Come on a cool evening when a big bowl of noodle soup is exactly right. It handles groups fine and the prices won't hurt.

Giamela's Submarine Sandwiches · Larchmont Blvd

Old-school in the best possible way. Giamela's has been building Italian subs in LA for decades and this location keeps the tradition alive. The Italian sub is the move, salami, ham, pepperoncini, the works. The turkey and avocado is lighter and also very good. Cheap, fast, zero pretense. Come for lunch on a weekday when the boulevard is still quiet.

Republique · 624 S La Brea Ave

Technically just off the boulevard, but no best-of list for this neighborhood is complete without it. Republique lives inside a stunning 1929 building and serves some of the best food in Los Angeles, full stop. Weekend brunch with the pastries alone is worth the trip. Dinner is a proper occasion. Make reservations. The 4.5-star rating undersells it.

Larchmont Village Wine, Spirits & Cheese · 223 N Larchmont Blvd

This spot sits right in the heart of the boulevard and does double duty as a shop and a casual eating destination. Grab a bottle, grab a cheese plate, sit at a table if one's open. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you actually live here, even if you drove in from Silver Lake.

Café Midi · 148 N Larchmont Blvd

A neighborhood café that earns its 4.6 stars by just being consistently good. Espresso drinks, cortados, cappuccinos done right. The light inside is pleasant, the pace is unhurried, and it's a fine place to post up with a laptop or a book on a Tuesday morning. The lattes are strong enough to matter.

Kreation Organic Juicery · 121 N Larchmont Blvd

If you're doing a healthy stretch, or trying to offset brunch somewhere nearby, Kreation is the spot. The juices are fresh and serious, the bowls are filling, and the patio is a good place to sit in the morning sun. It draws the yoga-after crowd and the stroller brigade equally, which is very Larchmont.

Salt & Straw · 240 N Larchmont Blvd

Not a restaurant, but no food guide to Larchmont skips it. Salt & Straw makes small-batch ice cream with rotating seasonal flavors that are genuinely inventive, sometimes weird in a good way, always worth sampling before you commit. The line moves. Bring cash or a card, bring patience on weekend afternoons, and save room after dinner.

The Larchmont Village Farmers Market · Larchmont Blvd, Sundays

Sunday mornings on the boulevard mean the farmers market, and it's a good one. Fresh produce from regional farms, artisan bread, pastries you'll want to eat standing up before you even get home. Show up early for the best selection. It's one of those weekly rituals that makes living near here feel genuinely worthwhile.

A few practical notes: Street parking on Larchmont Boulevard fills up fast on weekends, side streets like Lucerne or June usually have more room. Most restaurants here are independently owned and hours can shift, so a quick check before you go is worth it. The boulevard is walkable end to end in under ten minutes, which makes it easy to browse before you commit to a table.

Larchmont Village doesn't need a lot of explanation. Come hungry, walk around, and let the neighborhood do the rest.
