A perfect night out in Koreatown

April 2026

Park once, walk everywhere. That's the move in K-Town. Leave your car in the structure at 3600 Wilshire (entrance on Catalina) around 7pm and you won't need it again until midnight.

7:00pm, Hanok · 3550 W 6th St
Start here to ease in. Get the Korean latte, it's subtly sweet, a little nutty, and nothing like what you'd expect. The space is quiet and pretty. Give yourself 20 minutes to just decompress before the night picks up.

7:30pm, Soowon Galbi · 856 S Vermont Ave
This is dinner. Take the 5-minute drive or grab a Lyft over to Vermont. Soowon is famous for one thing: LA-style galbi, thick-cut short ribs they slice right at the table and lay over a charcoal grill built into it. Order the galbi. Order nothing else until you've had the galbi. The banchan comes fast and the soy soup is perfect for between bites. Budget about 90 minutes, this isn't a rush meal.

9:00pm, Dan Sung Sa · 3317 W 6th St
Walk back toward 6th (or grab a quick ride) and land at Dan Sung Sa, K-Town's best pojangmacha bar. It feels like a tent stall that got built into a building, paper lanterns, wood walls covered in handwritten signs, soju flowing. Get a round of soju cocktails and some anju (bar snacks) to keep the night going. It gets loud and fun in here fast.

10:00pm, Normandie Club · 3719 W 6th St
Two blocks east on 6th. The Normandie Club is one of the best cocktail bars in the entire city, not just the neighborhood. Slip into a booth, let the bartender talk you through the menu. Everything is house-made, the syrups, the bitters, the infusions. Order something with mezcal or ask for their current original. One drink here is worth three anywhere else.

11:00pm, The Prince · 3198 W 7th St
End the night at The Prince. This place has been here since 1949 and it looks it, dark wood, red booths, a bar that feels like it belongs in a movie (because it has been, many times). Order a beer and a well drink, sit in a booth, and just take it all in. K-Town is loud and neon and alive outside. In here, time slows down a little. That's exactly how you want to finish.

The logistics: Parking structure at 3600 Wilshire runs about $3–5 for the night. Soowon is the only spot that requires a ride, budget $8 round trip. Everything else is walkable on 6th and 7th. No reservations needed except possibly Soowon on a Friday or Saturday, call ahead.
