Los Angeles State Historic Park hosts concerts under the skyline

June 2026

A 32-acre flat green space just north of Downtown, Los Angeles State Historic Park sits in Chinatown and pulls double duty as both a neighborhood park and one of the better outdoor concert venues in the city. With 4,119 reviews averaging 4.6 stars, it has clearly earned a regular audience.

The grounds are well suited to large events. Sightlines are open, the terrain is level, and there is room to spread out without feeling crowded against a stage or a barrier. When concerts come through here, the setup works in the audience's favor.

Even on a quiet day with nothing scheduled, the long walkways and unobstructed views of the Downtown skyline give you a reason to come out. It is one of the few places this close to the city center where you can actually feel like you have space. Worth knowing about if you are anywhere near Chinatown.
